Careers Education

Our aim is to give our students opportunities and advice, in order for them to make the most informed decisions that they can about their future choices and career options.

Career education and guidance is an essential part of this process, so we ensure that all our learners get access to a programme of career education through their PSE lessons in addition to meeting employers through work experience and targeted events such as our World of Work Day. We have a well stocked and regularly updated careers library within our main library which is open to students at break, lunchtime and after school.

All students are entitled to external and impartial careers advice. This could be via a designated website, careers events or an interview with a careers guidance adviser who comes into the school.

We offer Career Guidance sessions to our KS3-5 students. Sessions are available to request, and will typically take place in the PSE/ Careers Office. To register interest in booking a Career Guidance session, please fill in the form linked on the advert found on this page. Students will then be contacted with a time and date for their session.

Before considering booking a careers guidance session, it is expected that parents, carers and students have accessed and discussed the information on this page, in order to gain a better understanding of what may be discussed in a careers guidance session.
